Reflect

Tools for thought.

[Reflect @reflectnotes]

Using Reflect Classic? Nothing changes. We'll keep maintaining it, and there's no deadline to move. Importing copies your notes and leaves your account untouched.

Thank you to everyone who tested the beta, filed issues, and sent PRs.

We built the notes app we always wished Apple Notes was.

Beautiful, connected by backlinks, instant to search, and every note is a plain Markdown file your AI agents can read.

Reflect Open is out of beta today. Open source, free on Mac, and on iPhone and iPad.

Also in the box: tasks, Apple Calendar, a Chrome extension that can save your X bookmarks, templates, Mermaid diagrams, and a fast native app built on Tauri.

Free on Mac, with no trial or time limit. iPhone and iPad on the App Store: https://t.co/1GbqozRFEQ

Today we’re releasing Reflect Open, a complete rewrite of Reflect for the age of AI.

It’s local-first and open source, and every note is stored as a Markdown file on your computer.

@harrytran998 We have a cli / skill.

[Reflect @reflectnotes]

@crsmoore I'm afraid that's not technically possible.

Today @reflectnotes open sourced their product to make it more agent friendly.

Reflect is hands down better than Obsidian from a UX perspective.

The only thing stopping it from rocket ship growth was a limitation around encrypting notes which made it hard to use with Claude or Codex.

Highly recommend checking them out for your agent brain.

I'm not quite sure where their business model goes from here, but Obsidian has been able to make it work, so I think Reflect can too.

@jorilallo Yes!

[Reflect @reflectnotes]

@crsmoore Yes you can do this today. Look for 'skill' under our settings.

The original Reflect is staying around, so nobody has to move before they’re ready.

The desktop app will remain free. We expect to charge for mobile after the beta, and existing Reflect subscriptions will carry over.
