Would you be willing to reduced your benefit to cover that cost, because the pension system is already a mess before adding more stress to it. It’s a lazy argument.

For what goal considering PSOS is not a utopia and another promotion example will take response officers away from their posts.

@TheUCS473 Media reporting training as 34 or even 36 wks. I did 30 back in 01 and increased to 32 to include field firing.
Course content 2 wks foundation was plenty to make recruits decide whether it was for them. Drill is it right to continue to go marching up and down the square in 2025!

@Artemisapphire That has not been the case of a ‘war zone’ for the last 20 years. The level of violence PO officer face is increasing and unfortunately the tactical options of the police haven’t evolved with the threat.

@Artemisapphire @Artemisapphire I’m sure this has been put to you before but what are the differences in policing a riot in NI compared to the streets of London? The threat level is the same in terms of officers in code 1 and shields but on the mainland that is the extent of tactical options.
