NL NDP Leader and MHA for St. John’s Centre, SAEN Past-President, NLTA Past-President, past Vice-President of CTF, proud teacher, husband, father & grandparent
In moments like this, we are reminded how precious and fragile life is. May you find strength in one another, comfort in the love that surrounds you, and space to mourn and heal.
Sending heartfelt condolences and love to everyone affected by this heartbreaking tragedy. 2/2
My heart is heavy hearing of the tragic school shooting in Tumbler Ridge, BC.
To the families grieving unimaginable loss and to a community shaken by violence, please know that you are not alone. People across NL and across this country, are holding you in our hearts. 1/2
@PierreV62811380 Hi Pierre, I did speak to the media about this, though I’m unsure whether it has aired. It was deeply concerning that the Premier had not reached out, and even more troubling to see a lack of transparency in how these questions were addressed with the media.
I want to thank Paddy Daly for his time hosting Open Line and for consistently making space for important conversations. Paddy wasn’t afraid to push on the issues that matter, and he always treated callers with respect and fairness. 1/2 @VOCMOpenline
It’s actually the Conservatives who are giving the Liberals a majority.
Two Con floor crossers to the Libs already + one more will seal the deal.
Carney’s conservative policies are attracting Conservatives.
NDP will provide principled, progressive opposition.
I had an excellent time at @HospitalityNL's Holiday Reception this past week. I had some great conversations about the success of our tourism industry and how we can build on that momentum by strengthening and growing it to attract more people to our province.
My thoughts are with the Jewish community after the horrific antisemitic attack at a Hanukkah event in Australia. Violence born of hate doesn’t stop with those who experience it firsthand; its consequences are felt across communities and beyond borders. 1/3
No one should ever fear for their safety while celebrating their faith or gathering with loved ones. This moment requires us to stand firmly against antisemitism and all forms of hate. 2/3
I had a wonderful morning attending a Tea and Chat with Ms. Williams’ Social Studies class at Brother Rice Junior High. We discussed the role of an MHA, the responsibilities that come with public service, and the importance of supporting the people we represent.
📰The House of Assembly remained closed for the fall sitting, but that didn’t stop the NDP from sharing what they say would have been the party’s important question period topics this week. @JimDinn#nlpoli

Thank you, @HMcPhersonNDP, for meeting with the NL NDP Caucus to advance our shared work of supporting and amplifying the voices of working families in our province and across the country.
Collaboration means a better deal for Newfoundlanders and Labradorians.

It was nice to see the NDP MHAs in Newfoundland and Labrador again, yesterday. They’re working hard to bring more voices to the table, and deliver for working people.
We spoke about how the National Party can work with the provinces to deliver for people.
@JimDinn
Feeling deeply grateful and honoured to be sworn in for the third time as the MHA for St. John’s Centre. Serving this incredible district continues to be the greatest privilege.
A heartfelt thank you to my loving family for standing by me every step of the way. 😊
Congratulations to Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani for leading an invigorating and hopeful campaign grounded in community and a vision for a more inclusive, affordable, and equitable future.
My heart goes out to the workers and the entire community of St. Mary’s after the devastating loss of the fish plant last night. This is a difficult time for so many, but I have every confidence in the strength, resilience, and compassion that define our communities.
