📰“If it’s an essential service and an important service, then obviously the workers who perform that service are important and deserve to be treated that way.” - @JimDinn#nlpoli#nlndp

Carney is the first PM to ever cobble together a majority through floor crossing. Power was gained with backroom deals, not the ballot box. Today I introduced Bill C-278 to require MPs earn voter consent before switching parties. If your reasons are valid, defend them to voters.
That’s why the NL NDP continues to push for stronger affordability measures, accessible home care and long-term care, and policies that help seniors live with dignity, independence, and security.
Seniors built the communities we call home, raised families, strengthened our province, and continue to contribute so much to our society. They deserve to age with dignity, security, and the support they need to remain active and connected in their communities.
Happy National Indigenous History Month!
June is a time to celebrate the rich histories, cultures, languages, and contributions of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples across Turtle Island.
It is also an opportunity to learn, reflect, and recognize that Indigenous histories are living histories — woven into the past, present, and future of these lands.

On National Flight Attendants' Day, we honour the workers who keep millions of Canadians safe in the skies every single day.
Flight attendants have shown us all what courage and determination look like. They took on the country’s biggest airline and defied the federal government — and won.
Faced with unpaid work and unfair wages, they voted to strike with a clear demand: unpaid work won't fly. Then, when the government intervened to strip them of the right to strike by invoking Section 107 of the Labour Code, they defied the order and walked off the job anyway. And they won a better deal.
New Democrats stand with flight attendants today and every day. That's why we're fighting to repeal Section 107 and protect the right to strike once and for all.

Here in Newfoundland and Labrador, Indigenous communities have cared for this land and continue to enrich our province through their leadership, knowledge, traditions, and culture. 2/3
Steven Guilbeault's decision to leave the Liberal caucus was a principled response to the Liberal government’s failure to protect us from the climate catastrophe.
Right now people are waiting for another summer choking on toxic wildfire smoke.
Will they reverse their backsliding on the environment or continue to let the world burn?
In the last two years, the Liberal government has repeatedly violated workers' constitutional right to strike by invoking Section 107 of the Labour Code to force them back on the job.
Each time the government shuts down collective bargaining, it sends a clear message to big corporations: they can stonewall workers and still count on Ottawa to bail them out.
It's time to scrap Section 107! Help us protect the right to strike by adding your name: https://t.co/ofQDd889ll
The Carney Liberals are betraying their commitment to Pharmacare and underfunding dental care.
They have that in common with Poilievre’s Conservatives.
