5/19/2026. Folk singer Goro Nakagawa performed at Dartmouth College thanks to the Leslie Center for the Humanities. 90 minutes of fantastic folk music in Japanese with English translations projected on two big screens. Jordan Burris played back up on some numbers. Amazing!

Legendary Japanese folk singer Nakagawa Goro performed tonight at the University of Chicago. Audience followed along through translated lyrics, and LOVED it. There is something universal about folk music. It speaks from one heart to another.
