American right-wing influencers were peddling Russian propaganda to millions.

— U.S. prosecutors allege that six conservative influencers, including Tim Pool, Dave Rubin, and Benny Johnson, unknowingly worked for a company that was a front for a Russian influence operation.

— The indictment claims that a Tennessee-based media company (matching the description of Tenet Media) was secretly funded by Russian state media employees to produce English-language videos that often aligned with Kremlin interests.

— Nearly $10 million was allegedly funneled to this company by two employees of RT, a Russian state media company, for Russia-friendly content.

— Two individuals, Kostiantyn Kalashnikov and Elena Afanasyeva, are charged with conspiracy to commit money laundering and violating the Foreign Agents Registration Act.

— Tenet Media's six main influencers have over 7 million subscribers on YouTube and a similar number of followers on X (formerly Twitter).

— Some influencers were reportedly paid substantial amounts, with one contract including a $400,000 monthly fee and bonuses.
