Dear @WhiteHouse, my name is Rodney Smith Jr., founder of Raising Men & Women Lawn Care Service in Huntsville, Alabama. Through our 50 Yard Challenge, over 6,000 kids across the country have signed up to mow free lawns for the elderly, disabled, veterans, active-duty military, first responders, and single parents. With America celebrating its 250th birthday this year and me also being born on July 4th, I wanted to humbly ask if a few kids from our program and myself could travel to Washington, D.C. to help mow the White House lawn for this historic celebration.

More than anything, I want these kids to see how a simple act of service something as ordinary as mowing a lawn for someone in need can lead to extraordinary places. What better lesson in community service than showing them that helping others can take them all the way to our nation’s capital? I’d also love to bring my American flag-themed mower in hopes that the President might sign it, so I can later auction it off and donate 100% of the proceeds to a nonprofit supporting veterans. It would be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to highlight the importance of service, patriotism, and the impact young people can have when they choose to make a difference. 🇺🇸

I've told this story before, but I will tell it again.

See that brown ring on my dragster in the photo below? The sticker that looks like a coffee ring?

When I was younger, my father had this habit of sitting coffee cups on my race cars. It would leave these rings and we would damn near come to blows about it. Over and over again. Coffee rings.

He would always say "It's just an old racecar, Bo." And I would get even more pissed. It wasn't "just" a race car. It was MY racecar.

But I missed his point.

Dad passed in 2015 after spending 7 years on a childlike level from a massive stroke in 2008.

I remember all those times, leaving the races early, pissed because I lost. Leaving dad there to watch. Not going to dinner afterwards. Having 3 days together to race and going home on night one because the car wasn't "good enough"

On father's day few years ago, my wife, knowing my struggles with losing my dad, handed me this sticker and it rocked my soul. She knew the story. She knew my regret. She knew how to honor him.

And that's how my new dragster ended up with a "coffee ring" on it, to remind me that is is "just an old race car", and the memories made are far more important.

It's almost race season. I will inevitably lose more than I win. I'm not a very good driver. But I will be there to grill steaks for my friends and make memories with my kids.

It took losing so much, to gain understanding.

"It's just an old racecar, Bo." Yes sir. It is. I understand.

This Spring and Summer, make time to make memories. Slow to condemn, quick to forgive. Time is running short. You don't have many chances left.

The Maple Grove Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a vehicle involved in a recent theft.
Boy Scout Troop 84’s trailer, containing camping gear, was stolen from Maple Grove Lutheran Church sometime late on February 6 into the early morning hours of February 7, 2026.
The stolen trailer was later observed traveling westbound on I-94 at approximately 12:40 p.m. on February 7 near Maple Grove Parkway.
The vehicle pulling the trailer had a white hood, which investigators are hoping someone may recognize.

I've been working my entire adult life and I have paid half or more than half back to the government in some way, shape or form in taxes for the past 30 years, and if you don't believe me, look up everything that you have that is taxed

- State income tax
- Federal income tax
- Property taxes
- Payroll taxes
- Medicare taxes
- Medicaid taxes
- Sales taxes
- Everything is taxed. Everything.

And we have a political apparatus where half of them say that if you don't keep us in power, we will steal from you so that we can import people that will. So shut up and go back to work.

And another side of the aisle that is either in on it or is totally complete chicken sh*t and won't do anything about it and won't even try to actually represent the people that vote for them.

Is anybody else getting to a point where we feel like we cannot vote our way out of this?

Where does that leave us? Because nothing is going to happen about the fraud. Nothing.

All of the fraud that Elon Musk and DOGE exposed, the Republican Congress put it on the back burner and refused to f*cking vote on it. Turned around to the American voter that put them in power and extended one of these.

It doesn't matter what we do this situation is completely freaking unstable, totally and completely unsustainable.

It's a waste of time to vote, and it's a waste of energy to pay taxes so that we can give it to people that are going to steal from us.

And then we can send it to other countries that hate us, and we can send it to people in the European Union that look down their nose at the American worker and say, good little, go back to work.

It's putting us in a helpless situation.

And I don't think the people in Washington living in that bubble realize the anger that is fuming outside of the borders of that city.

And I am not interested in watching another theatrical Congressional hearing where a couple of ballsy Republicans out a corrupt leftist and then nothing happens.
