Lake was 30 feet post-Hurricane Helene.
Dredging only goes 10 feet deep.

A lake known for Dirty Dancing… is now dancing with disaster.

The road is closed.
The lake is dry.

What did @fema’s $2.5M+ go to?

Funds were redirected to dam and sewer systems — critical, yes.
But now there’s nothing left for:

🏨 Small business
🛣️ Access

This isn’t recovery. It’s a dirty deal.

Locals and visitors now detour over an hour around.

Infrastructure collapse, rural edition.
