@MikeDeCillis @JCColtin Trump doesn't want public corruption prosecuted, so if he wins, Adams's charges will likely be dropped by the incoming SDNY US Attorney.

JFREJ signed onto this b/c NYers deserve a Mayor who uplifts, not exploits us! If allegations are true that @NYCMayor took advantage of the taxpayer-funded public financing program, that's a huge breach of public trust by our Mayor. @NYCCFB must take swift action to investigate.

@Emptybikelanes @katie_honan Yes. There is nothing Adams has done to earn the enmity of the press. For the record, she also dragged BdB for making the press wait hours as he perpetually was behind schedule and for making the press sit in another room throughout COVID even as he was indoors with others.

@LewsOnFirst In our local organizing, we've had periodic difficulty getting DSA and WFP folks to forge an effective coalition. DSA takes more principled no votes, and WFP is more willing to negotiate to yes.

@LewsOnFirst In NY, we often have the option to vote for Democrats on the WFP line, which is organized to push Democrats to the left and sometimes runs a left alternative to a conservative Democratic candidate in the general.

@sarregoeswest @ZohranKMamdani @NYCMayor Bloomberg analyzed the economic costs of Trump's mass deportation, and the GDP drop is twice what we saw in the great recession. Even if you're unconcerned with the misery to undocumented folks (gross), it's just financially stupid to pursue this.

Such a great list. One thing she missed was the way Cuomo's ego got in the way of hiring and retaining first rate leaders. He pushed out Byford, and who knows how many left or never joined because of his toxic leadership.

Adams targets immigrant communities for the same reason as Trump, to have a scapegoat for why he hasn't delivered for the average person. His separating new NYers into a separate shelter system will facilitate ICE and empowered thugs to attack new immigrants. Shitty Mayor.

But New York City’s leader should be actively working to keep Trump from being elected President, to make clear to New Yorkers what’s at stake.
