It was a wonderful opportunity to meet Astronaut Fred Haise of the Apollo 13 mission at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. He was quite gracious and told compelling stories about the Apollo program and his later flights on the test shuttle Enterprise.

@blal Both Pete Worden and Elon have said it would cost much less to produce solar power in the desert than space, but the problem is distribution. Why not create simple power relay sats in GEO to receive microwaves from the ground and send them back down where needed?
