We have the same issues in central Australia with ground animals & wild dogs. Everywhere they are controlled shows higher numbers & greater diversity of ground dwelling birds, lizards & small mammals. Completely removing dogs from the landscape is not the solution but keeping their numbers in check is.

Police are investigating another case of sheep duffing in western Victoria.
$12,000 worth of merino sheep were stolen last week from a property in Strathlea, where four men were seen herding the animals into an enclosed trailer.
Investigators have released digitally generated images of three of the men, based on witness’ descriptions.
