Building internal #platforms has many worthwhile goals: increase productivity and velocity, assure compliance, improve reuse, etc
Making something simplistic for the "not so smart developers" isn't one of them.
Platforms are amplifiers, not paint-by-numbers sandboxes

2 hours into troubleshooting a CI "problem" and you find the dev commented out two sections handling the deployment target.
