Empowering women and girls requires more than passion..it demands deliberate investment, preparation and collective action.
I recently purchased merchandise from #ImaraWomenCentre , a @FOWODE_UGANDA initiative working towards a dedicated space for women’s leadership, learning, networking and advancing gender equality.
I encourage you to buy #Imara merchandise too. Every purchase is an opportunity to support this vision and contribute to a stronger women’s movement.
Let’s invest in women. Let’s build a future where every girl can rise, lead and thrive. 💜

For communities like Vurra, the Ebola outbreak came with real social and economic disruptions, including the closure of markets.
So we celebrate and thank @MinofHealthUG
for the fight to end it...lets remain vigilant, united and committed to protecting our communities. 🙏🏾
Today, we mourn the passing of Gen. Moses Ali, one of the greatest sons of our region. It's really a heartbreaking loss for our nation and our party @NRMOnline but a more painful one for the people of Westnile.
On behalf of the people I serve, I extend my deepest condolences to his family, loved ones, and to all Ugandans during this difficult time.
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un.
Deeply saddened by the tragic school bus accident that has claimed the precious lives of innocent children. My heartfelt condolences go to the bereaved families, the affected school, and everyone mourning this unimaginable loss.
As we grieve, we must also act.
Really how many more innocent lives must we lose before we strengthen the safety of our children? ..How about enforcing a strict ban on overloading school buses? ..How about introducing mandatory routine inspections for all school transport vehicles? And, most importantly, how about declaring school buses a protected category of vehicles, with stricter traffic rules and tougher penalties for motorists who endanger them?
The lives of our children are far too precious for us to wait until another tragedy strikes. We cannot afford to keep losing our young generation to preventable road accidents.
May the souls of the departed children rest in eternal peace, and may God grant strength, comfort, and healing to their families during this incredibly difficult time.

Honoured to meet with the Red Cross Manager Mr @jimmyAsea .we hv discussed opportunities for future collaboration in advancing humanitarian and community development initiatives. I look forward to building meaningful partnerships that create lasting impact for our vurra people.
Today, I joined partners from Amaph Initiative Africa at Bondo Health Centre IV in Vurra, Arua District for a capacity-building training aimed at equipping our healthcare workers with the knowledge and skills to strengthen sickle cell disease management and testing.
Northern Uganda continues to bear a significant burden of sickle cell disease..making interventions like these both timely and necessary. I am encouraged by AMAPH Initiative's commitment to supporting our health facilities including the provision of sickle cell testing kits to improve early diagnosis and access to care.
I extend my sincere appreciation to AMAPH Initiative, our dedicated health workers, and all stakeholders who continue to invest in strengthening our healthcare system.
As your Member of Parliament for Vurra County, Am very committed to supporting partnerships that bring quality healthcare services closer to our people.

While the Government of Uganda is playing a critical role in addressing humanitarian challenges, there is need for multi-sectoral involvement to strengthen and sustain the level of preparedness, response and mitigation.

Rotival Bruno- from @eu_echo Uganda office represented the @EUinUG at the launch of the URCS Humanitarian Response Fund at Serena Hotel in Kampala this morning.
He was part of the panel discussion around the trends of humanitarian funding by development partners.
He noted that within a competitive world, provision of humanitarian assistance might be problematic. Funding is going to be unpredictable but as @eu_echo, they are present to provide disaster responsiveness, financial support and remain committed to providinh resources to respond to emergencies.
