@JenniferLClimo@realEstateTrent It is very accurate. Your mindset is stuck on what AI was a year ago - it is completely different now
Have to stop holding onto these ideas from the first chat GPT model
@JenRobichaux@Empact The reality is that in your scenario they also raze the old home, but instead of replacing it with 3 new homes, it gets replaced with 1 massive expensive mansion. Which scenario do you think leads to higher prices for families? I agree with you 95% of the time. Not on this.
@TheATX1 What is the point of spending money on this?
I know the money comes from the “hotel tax” but it’s insane how much money we are wasting on this convention center
@jeremybmazur It’s called the state “recapture” or “Robin Hood” program. AISD only kept less than 25 cents of each new dollar you paid in tax. The state took the rest
South Austin residents are frustrated by a massive homeless encampment. This is under the bridge at St. Elmo and Vinson. Residents say they’ve made dozens of 311 requests. The Homeless Strategy Office says they’ll address this.
@fox7austin
@juliogatx The reality is the homeless consume so much of our core services
APD - constant calls to deal with homeless
Fire
EMS
Parks? - mainly a housekeeping fund for homeless
We will never have a balanced budget until we remove the mentally ill from our streets
@juliogatx Property taxes have a significant impact on rents. The higher we continue to raise property taxes, the less development deals pencil, which impacts supply. The narrative that property taxes only affect rich homeowners is false.
@JoeSquawk@KeithOlbermann I wish you were able to speak as fluently as you tweet. I don’t care about your politics - it’s just clear you struggle to speak coherently and make clear, concise points on the show. It makes the show worse.
