@TheAtlantic @RadioFreeTom NATO is, in effect, insurance. pay your premium. The US should provide guarantees only for those countries who invest the 2% of GDP agreed upon in 2006. I dislike trump's rhetoric but in this case he's doing these countries a favor by forcing them to invest in their own security

I disagree with Trumps comments on encouraging Russia - but in the case of a NATO country invasion, I would be against US troop or material support if they didn't spend the 2% of GDP NATO members agreed to spend in 2006. The US SHOULD provide a guarantee. for countries that do

I'm pro Israel. I really hope they find what they need in that hospital to sway people in the middle. I feel for the people of Palestine but Hama's stated intend of genocide (and 10.7 actions) only re-enforces my belief that Jews need a homeland that is heavily fortified. 🇮🇱
