UPDATE | A 45-year-old Bolt Cutter Bus Service conductor, Ranjisi Manyati, has been sentenced to seven months in jail after assauIting a passenger and refusing to return his money.

The passenger, 21-year-old Jonathan Nyoni, had paid US$20 for bus fares but asked for a refund after discovering the bus was overloaded. Instead of returning the money, the conductor allegedly attack€d him, punching, slapping, and kicking him in the face. Nyoni was treated at hospital and reported the matter to the police. Manyati pleaded guilty to both assauIt and theft and was sentenced to prison.
