!!! I have no words - we have a first-hand confession by the Hindu Raksha Dal leader that he was violent with protestors!

@DelhiPolice I assume you will track his phone, send 10 IB guys to his house, and lock him up in Tihar? Oh wait - you reserve that for peaceful protestors.

How it feels walking out of jail after 24 hours with no wifi and phone

[mayankk @OverCoverss]

We are so conditioned to injustice that I was surprised to find out that the French Government has not labeled their protesters Anti-National.

FYI Their protests are not even peaceful or Gandhian.

The Modi government went from “har ghar tiranga” to “don’t let me catch you with the flag in your hands” in like a year

@ANI Prime example - How to use democratic set up as Dictator

Step 1 - Close every protest sites by some consititution power.

Step 2 - Use imaginary threat/law and order reasons to deny any protest approval.

Step 3 - Illegal Arrest leaders of protest group.

What about the Canadian National Akshay Kumar?
Is chanting Modi ki jai on social media not political activity? Or pro BJP political activities are allowed but anything that offends the BJP is not allowed?

[Kajol Srinivasan @LOLrakshak]

Delhi's new designated protest site is Ramlila Maidan which has to be booked as per availability. Free speech now costs 1.21 lakhs per day.

Remember Ankita Bhandari murder? girl who was killed in Uttarakhand resort by a BJP leader's son because she refused to sleep with a VIP guest

VIP named by many, including Ankita's parents, is now newly appointed governer of Sikkim and CBI probe shows no progress. "Beti Bachao"

[sushi @tandoorinightts]

suddenly, you find yourself paying for everything that should be a fundamental right. clean air, clean water, and now even the right to protest comes with a price tag. ek din sans lene pe bhi interest dena padega in logo ko

[Jitutpal @Jitutpal7]

Notice how they are carrying bjp flags not tiranga unlike cockroaches. (This is going on in my hometown nalbari, and I can assure they don't know shit about SIR issues like form 6)

[atanu bhuyan @atanubhuyan]

Large numbers of Gen Z protesters have taken to the streets of Nalbari town in a BJP-organised demonstration against the Congress party, raising slogans against “cockroaches.” #Nalbari #Assam

[Jitutpal @Jitutpal7]

@AmitShah should resign immediatedly. How is he allowing such a large scale foreign funded protest in the capital? Why are they not able to track the funding and arrest them under NSA? @HMOIndia it is huge internal security failure as claimed by @himantabiswa

[Himanta Biswa Sarma @himantabiswa]

This isn't a movement. It's a regime-change project by Dimagi Naxals

[Aditya Ojha @thispodcastguy]

I just heard @Sonal_MK on TV saying that the police were very soft on today’s protesters and there was almost zero police presence compared to yesterday’s crackdown.

I don’t think that is what happened.

Today’s protest was properly planned and organised. Thousands of people came together and the protesters clearly outnumbered the police.

It looked like the police chose not to step in because that could have made things worse.

Now compare this with protests where people give a call without even clearly telling others where to gather or what the plan is.

People end up standing in small groups at different places. And that makes it much easier for the police to detain them.

Today almost all opposition parties and student groups like AISA came together. A few parties chose to stay away for their own reasons (and one can guess the reasons easily).

The difference was the planning and the numbers.

The police were not necessarily being kind today. They were facing a much larger and better organised crowd.

That’s the difference people need to understand.
