Why ‘You and Everything Else’, ‘The Price of Confession’ and ‘Yumi’s Cells 3’ are selected as 2026 Bechdel Choice Top 10 Series.

‘Yumi’s Cells’ is a smart drama wrapped in sweet romance story that explores deep human emotions. It shows the hidden thoughts and feelings of both men and women through the “cells” which break down gender boundaries, in a simple and relatable way. It helps people to understand women’s psychology better. Above all, it captures the complex emotions within people so well that it feels like “a drama that understands my heart better than anyone”.
— Kim Minjeong, Professor of Creative Writing at Chung Ang University • Bechdel Series Category Judge

‘You and Everything Else’ is a work that demonstrates the evolution of Korean women's narratives. While stories in the past focused on women strongly expressing their own desires, this work shows women living their lives on their own way through ordinary and daily life. It is a well-made masterpiece that brings a new perspective to women’s stories. It looks ordinary at first glance, but special in its own way.
— Kim Minjeong, Professor of Creative Writing at Chung Ang University • Bechdel Series Category Judge

‘The Price of Confession’ has a story that boldly uses people’s biases about women as both a confusion and a trap. The more viewers enjoyed the twists, the more it shows how strong their own biases may have been. Jeon Doyeon’s unique smile goes against the image of a “victim” and makes things more complicated. Kim Goeun challenges the idea that “women’s solidarity means standing with the weak” with her sudden “witch” face.

https://t.co/P0X5lEJOfI
