Provincial President JKYNC Kashmir @salmanalisagar today presided over an office bearers meeting of North Zone at Baramulla. The meeting was attended and addressed by DP WW Baramulla @AdvNeelofar alongside Provincial members, District Presidents and Zone committee members and was convened by Zone President JKYNC North Zone @im_waqarkhan. Upcoming Lok Sabha elections and Youth activities were on agenda of meeting.

बात 1988 के इलाहाबद के उपचुनाव की है जहां से राजीव गांधी की प्रचंड बहुमत वाली सरकार की उलटी गिनती शुरू हो गई थी. बोफोर्स मामले पर सरकार से इस्तीफ़ा देकर वीपी सिंह चुनाव में मैदान में थे.
कांग्रेस ने रामायण सीरियल में राम का किरदार निभाने वाले अरुण गोविल को चुनाव प्रचार में उतारा जिसका जम कर विरोध हुआ था उस वक़्त.
मुझे याद है कि इलाहाबाद के पीडी टंडन पार्क में अरुण गोविल भगवान राम के पूरे कॉस्टयूम में पहुंच गये. इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय के छात्रों ने इतना विरोध किया कि अरुण गोविल को सभा छोड़ कर जाना पड़ा.
जिस दूरदर्शन में आप विनोद दुआ को सत्ता धारी दल के नेता ग़ुलाम नबी आजाद से तल्ख सवाल लहजे में सवाल पूछता देख रहे हैं वो लोकसभा में 414 सीट वाली बहुमत की सरकार का दूरदर्शन है.
इसके बाद विनोद दुआ बरसों दूरदर्शन से जुड़े रहे. उन्हे हटाया नहीं गया, न ही उनके घर ईडी चली गई थी.
अरुण गोविल फिर खबरों में हैं. मेरठ से बीजेपी के उम्मीदवार हैं. उन्हे सीरियल में भगवान राम का किरदार निभाने के लिये चुनाव में उतारा गया है - इसके अलावा उनके पास क्या योग्यता है.
दूरदर्शन तो दूर की बात है क्या आज का प्राइवेट मीडिया भी बीजेपी से वैसे सवाल नहीं कर सकता है.
दोष सिर्फ़ मोदी का नहीं है - आज की पीढ़ी लोकतांत्रिक मूल्य समझ ही नहीं पायी.

The true face of “the mother of democracy”, where once elected representatives of the people from all parties, religions, backgrounds & parts of J&K legislated on matters of great importance now actors & extras use it as a set for TV dramas. What a shame that the BJP driven government in J&K has reduced the symbol of democracy, where they once sat & governed, to this sorry state of affairs. They even have a fake CM coming out of an office I was privileged to occupy for 6 years. What an absolute shame!!!!
