Not long ago, I informed Parliament that Ghana had successfully completed its IMF bailout programme.
Through bold reforms, fiscal discipline, and responsible economic management, we have brought inflation down, stabilised the cedi, rebuilt investor confidence, and returned the economy to a path of strong growth.
Today, Ghana is no longer focused on recovery. We have moved decisively into a new phase defined by growth, investment, jobs, and opportunity.
Our focus now is on building The New Economy.

Singapore was once part of Malaysia. The country's approach was considered ineffective or poorly conceived. However, when discipline and strong measures were implemented, what did Singapore become? It is now better than Malaysia in terms of the economy and the beauty of the country. Malaysia rejected Singapore, but Singapore turned around and built canals.
Now, let's look at Africa. Rwanda came out of war 12 years ago, and now Ghana is lagging behind. We are not ashamed to refer to Rwanda because when you go there, you see a developed country, all due to discipline.
I’m telling you about our current situation. Ghanaians don't need change; change needs us. This means we've moved beyond needing change. The situation is worse than simply needing change.
As a country that practices democracy, I believe it’s imperative we uphold the constitutional and democratic right for people to exercise their right to vote. I send this petition to the Electoral commission of Ghana.

.@EmmanuelMacron, economic concerns shouldn't come at the expense of tackling global crises. Reverse these catastrophic cuts to international assistance, instead look to close existing loopholes and tax those profiting from pollution. #FTT
