Department of School Education & Literacy is embedding sustainability into everyday classroom learning through #EcoClubs4MissionLiFE, reinforcing the vision of #NEP2020...Every child is thus being empowered to become a responsible steward of the environment.

Aligned with the National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCF-SE 2023), @ncert has introduced new textbooks for Grades 1–8 that integrate environmental concerns as a cross-cutting theme across subjects. To further strengthen environmental awareness, the textbooks are being enriched with the Mission LiFE logo, Prakriti mascot and QR code explaining Mission LiFE, enabling school students to adopt environmentally responsible behaviour from an early age.

PRERANA is an experiential residential learning programme for students of Classes 9 to 12. It is held at the historic Prerana Sankul in Vadnagar, Gujarat, where Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi began his schooling.

Through immersive learning experiences, PRERANA helps students build confidence, leadership skills, and a sense of social responsibility. It also encourages cultural understanding, nation-building, and core human values envisioned under #NEP2020.

🎒 PM SHRI JNV Kolasib welcomes Mini Migration, and new Class VI students

PM SHRI Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (#JNV), Kolasib, has welcomed students from different Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas under the Mini Migration Programme, along with the newly admitted Class VI students for the 2026-27 academic session.

Under the Mini Migration Programme, Class XI students pursue their preferred academic stream at another JNV when it is not available in their parent school, while also gaining exposure to a new learning and cultural environment.

The welcome programme featured colourful cultural performances by the students, showcasing the rich and diverse traditions of the North East and highlighting the spirit of unity in diversity that the Navodaya Vidyalaya system seeks to foster.

Meanwhile, online registration for the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) 2027 for admission to Class VI for the 2027-28 academic session will remain open till 31 July 2026. Eligible students can submit their applications through the online portal at https://t.co/ozGtk7HZOf. The selection test is scheduled to be held on 28 November 2026.

Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has invited online applications for admission to Class VI (Session 2027-28) through the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) 2027.

🗓 Last date to apply: 31 July 2026 📝 Date of JNVST: 28 November 2026

Eligible candidates must be bona fide residents of the district, studying in Class V (2026-27) in a recognised school, and born between 1 May 2015 and 31 July 2017 (both dates inclusive). Selected students will receive free residential education, boarding, lodging, textbooks and other facilities.
