@fandompulse Watched the original Star Wars when they were released (1977 - 1983).
Decided not to watch any of the new ones (1999 -) as I didn't want my childhood memories destroyed.
It looks like my decision gets better and better every year.

@GodPlaysCards I can understand how it influenced you. Back in the 1960s I was allowed to stay up late on Fridays (past 7:00pm) to watch a western, usually starring John Wayne. They had a big influence on me. Doing the right thing no matter what, protecting the weak etc.
