@bobbythekiwi Definitely had ebike envy today. I had to turnaround and take the car. Just didn’t feel stable on my bike in the wind in fast moving traffic. If East AK had cycling infrastructure I would have stuck with it!
The former National govt paid around $3m for similar services from CART, an NGO chaired by a life member of Black Power (and co-founded by Harry Tam!). It also used Tam as a ministerial advisor, and funded an $800k meth programme with the Mob's Notorious chapter as a partner.
I'm pretty worn out by today's topic now, but I thought I'd share this comment under my Facebook post, which is heading for a thousand shares. Have a good evening everyone. Count your blessings.
It was good to hear Ardern give a strong defence of the Kahukura meth treatment programme in that stand-up. You don't have to like certain people in society to accept that it's better for everyone in society if those people are not dependent on methamphetamine.
As people begin to commute again, it's a great time for employers to consider becoming certified "Cycle Friendly Employers", like the @envgency has. Enabling employees to choose healthier, sustainable travel benefits everyone. Learn more @WeAreCyclingUK https://t.co/zeGe0ellnK
On my way to school today with 1 kid on a scooter on the footpath, the other cycling on road with me. I’m keeping my eye on the road navigating the parked car chaos with kid 1 when the other is nearly hit by a car reversing from a driveway. Kids need safe streets! @AklTransport
@pippacoom Totally! I recently met a kid who was loving the freedom to ride to school while the Onehunga, safer streets trial was functioning, he couldn’t understand why it was sabotaged. I couldn’t give him a reasonable explanation either – there isn’t one.
