When we go to different town council meetings, we can say,
"5 people from Pine Level spoke with us and agreed about the importance of these protections..."
We know that #jocoisready and that #ncisready!
Following the example of Equality North Carolina, I will be departing X before the end of March is over.
I never quite had a coherent plan for this account on this platform.

NC Senate Bill 234 is brazen.
It's an attempt to rig the NC Senate in favor of land rather than voters (like the US Senate).

Here are our updated thoughts on tomorrow's severe weather threat. Most of central NC is still under an enhanced risk (3 out of 5), with damaging winds and isolated tornadoes being the main threats. Outside of severe thunderstorms, winds will gust up to 45 mph. #NCwx
Today I filed House Bill 93 to remove the Literacy Test from the North Carolina Constitution. Last year our efforts to remove the literacy test passed the House unanimously. This year we're going to finish the job.
Wake County school board member Sam Hershey says nation’s history has seen mediocre white men who’ve been hired because of their skin color. He says DEI isn't lowering standards but helps kids. He says DEI opponents are losers who say DEI to avoid saying the n-word. #wcpss
The entire archive of all CDC datasets uploaded before January 28th, 2025 has been backed up on Internet Archive.
Incredible work everyone. Science will never be silenced!
Another reminder here that Jefferson Griffin and @NCGOP are on the verge of stealing a seat on North Carolina's Supreme Court, after losing November's election fair and square to @AllisonJRiggs.
The wildest parts about Griffin/NCGOP's election challenge:
👉 they are not challenging all ballots under the same criteria - only those from mail-in and early voting, which lean Democratic; not those on Election Day, which lean Republican
👉 they are only challenging overseas votes from 4 Democratic-leaning counties, no others
👉 their lawsuit relies on canceling the votes of thousands of active-duty U.S. military service members, and their families, who legally voted
Feeling bad for everyone traveling to Richmond for the 4th Circuit arguments in the Griffin - Riggs case. A mindblowing exercise in jurisdictional arguments complete with all sorts of nuanced questions and answers. I am clueless is where the court is going.
Day 8️⃣5️⃣ of republicans protesting election results in North Carolina. We’re headed to📍Richmond to bear witness as the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals hears the case of challenges to 67,000 legal North Carolina voters. The courts must uphold law, not bow to a political party.
