Whoa, this thread seems to have hit a nerve. We're used to our phones being surveillance devices but not our TVs. Can we do better than fighting⁠ (and losing⁠) this battle in every new domain? I see only one way: let's de-legitimize targeted advertising as a business model.

@SBSDiva It doesn't sound like civil war to me. It sounds like a request for the supreme court to require states to enforce their own legislatures' legislative authority. Each if those states could have passed the required legislation the right way last spring. Read the complaint.

@MattWalshBlog Politically it would be better to discuss the almost 25,000 cases of Wuhan coronavirus and the almost 500 reported deaths due to it. Then discuss how China is treating it's own people that are infected with it. Quarantine is one thing but what I have seen looks like a prison.

Regardless, Microsoft has done little to earn my business with Windows Defender. To put it plainly their customer service and support sucks.
