Because in states like California there are 1.6 million illegals on it and account for almost $9 billion in Medicaid. That money then goes to Kaiser the largest hospital system in the state and then Kaiser lobbies the politicians to keep the system going. If you took 1.6 million illegals off it would really disrupt the healthcare economy in states like California.
