@NortonMpls@DeRushaJ I mean, if you were praise Minneapolis for its proximity to state parks, I wouldn't take that as a self own that city life is inferior
A Shakopee City Council member is betting on the suburb's downtown — literally. He's planning a new grab-and-go eatery that will be right in the heart of one of the city's upcoming social districts. https://t.co/cUUU4TyCAC
@CheyCab No choice really but to eat the cost. Our out of pocket is rising $160 a month. Now health insurance premiums are officially higher than our annual mortgage + tax & escrow payments
The Republican Party has nothing to offer downwardly mobile voters with graduate degrees. Just completely (economically, culturally) out of touch with this demographic.
@DeRushaJ I'll take it one step further. The candidate who promises to just eliminate the state flag entirely - both old and new -- has my vote. My tolerance for flag debate is spent
@CheyCab 1000% - our cheapie apartment got us through the Great Recession when we had a family of three a layoff. One car, no travel or dining out. When we bought a house five years later, we made good and sure it was one we could pay for on a single income
Here's my take: I grew up in a house where I could have one, maybe two samples. A pail of warm cookies at the fair, which is a sensory overload of nostalgia, just taps into something elemental. Who cares if you can make better cookies at home? Less waiting for me
I am not looking forward to 12 days of people saying: UNPOPULAR TAKE: Sweet Martha's IS NOT GOOD. She sold $5 million last year - they're good. Context matters. Time and place matters. Memories and moments matter. The vessel, the marketing, the ability to go offer a cookie to someone. It's the whole bit.
The city of Shakopee wants to potentially introduce new regulations on Airbnb hosts and other short-term rental owners after complaints of over-crowding and late-night parties. https://t.co/bknD8GRL4r
@2ndidvet@unclejfranklin@KihneSheila I haven't taken time to track down his every residence. But someone posted his Shakopee address and Zillow shows they sold it about 10 years ago. Since then house values have gone up significantly so I predict whatever else he sold before buying the farm also saw gains
@unclejfranklin@KihneSheila And if you happen to track down his Shako residence you'll note the significant gains after purchasing it during the Great Recession. Wealth building through real estate and great timing
