Are you facing a difficult challenge? Are you feeling overwhelmed by your circumstances? Do you need wisdom about an important decision you need to make? Pray about it!
What a privilege prayer is — a direct line to the Creator of the universe, available to us at any moment, in any place. Yet studies show that the average American spends only one minute a day in prayer. Just one minute! At the same time, we check our social media approximately 17 times a day — effectively once every waking hour.
We find time to scroll, to browse, and to consume, yet we neglect the most powerful resource available to us.
What if we gave God even a fraction of the time we give our phones? So whatever you are facing today, bring it to God in prayer. He is not indifferent to your struggles — He is waiting to hear from you. After all, Scripture reminds us that with God, all things are possible!
I enjoyed revisiting "Wholeness in Christ: Toward a Biblical Theology of Holiness" by William Greathouse. It is showing its age but still worth reading. The Nazarenes were fortunate to have Greathouse among us. https://t.co/snPGY6nT4W
Before you ask God for what you want, take a minute and thank God for all the blessings that you already have in your life. Never take anything for granted.
Why should you teach your children to pray?
It's not just a ritual. It's about showing them that God is near, that He hears them, and He loves them. Encourage them to bring their troubles to Him - whether they're afraid of the dark, scraped a knee, or dealing with bigger issues, hold their hand and pray with them.

It’s not our job as preachers to be inventive or entertaining.
Our primary job is reminding.
The gospel is the greatest story ever told.
It brings dead people to life.
It sets the captives free.
We must remember before we forget.

Toddlers don't want to be restricted or inhibited, nor are they inclined to conceal their opinions. Don't get too distressed by the frustrations of the toddler years. It's a very brief period that will be over before you know it. Even with its challenges, it's a delightful time.
