@CernBasher Nice piece. I do wonder as routes get congested and slow, just how many more parallel tunnels can be dug? How deep can they go? How close together can they be? Just like freeways builders say "one more lane will fix this traffic" and it never does. Are we missing anything?

I just crossed a roundabout with my bike and a Tesla exiting the roundabout politely stopped to let me cross. I waved and saw that the woman driving did not have her hands on the wheel 🥹🥹

A self driving car right here in my little home town. So awesome. It felt perfectly natural too!

@engineers_feed I was counting Tesla car carriers as I drove from LA to SF (~12 during 6 hours). But since I was going north at as fast as they were headed south I figured real production rate leaving Fremont was 1/hour.

@fietsprofessor They won't make cities better overnight but you cant dismiss the benefits of less smog, potentially less car ownership with autonomous ride hailing and tbe potential to drive in low cost tunnels.
