Kezman who was a prolific striker at PSV got signed to Chelsea, got the no 9 shirt & played 20 games without scoring a League goal.
Chelsea got a PK vs Newcastle & Mourinho told Lampard to let him take it. Man had the audacity to score a panenka. 😂
A word from our co-owner, Jack Henderson 🇦🇹
25 years ago, almost to the day, my Papa (what we Scots call our Grandad) took me to my first ever Johnstone Burgh FC match, the 1999–2000 cup final. I was seven years old. While my Papa was a lifelong Glasgow Rangers supporter, he held a special place in his heart for Johnstone Burgh and the role it played in the local community.
Sadly, the team didn’t win that day. But as a wide-eyed child, I turned to him and promised, “Don’t worry, one day I’ll own the club and we’ll make it back to the final.”
I could never have imagined that, 23 years later, this proud institution of Scottish junior football would be on its knees. Falling attendances and rising stadium costs had brought the club to the brink of bankruptcy.
I’ve been fortunate in business and managed to build a nest egg. When my Papa asked me to help save the club he cherished, I felt a duty to honour that request. Together with Scott Graham, we stepped in as investors and took ownership of the club and the ground.
But for us, this was never about ego. From the start, we agreed this had to be a community project, something bigger than football. Our aim was to restore the soul of the club, make it a hub for local pride, and create a safe and welcoming place for people of all backgrounds to enjoy sport. We each set aside money we knew we would never see again, simply because we believed this club and this town deserved a future.
My Papa was an incredible man who gave so much to Johnstone. It’s a town that, like many others, has faced serious challenges: poverty, crime, addiction and violence. He ran the local youth club, coached kids’ teams, and believed passionately in the power of the local football club to change lives and keep young people off the streets.
Tomorrow is emotional. After years of hard work, the promise I made as a child is being fulfilled. Johnstone Burgh are back in the Scottish Cup final, with a chance to win our first major trophy in more than 70 years. We’ve been awarded SFA Silver Status and recognised by the Scottish Government for the charitable work the club delivers in the community.
I wish my Papa were still here to see it, but I know he’s watching with pride.
This club belongs to the community, from top to bottom. We now have over 350 kids involved in the community club and growing every week, we see more and more volunteers looking to get involved each week to. I want to thank every supporter, volunteer, player, coach and committee member. Your dedication and sacrifices have made this moment possible.
A special thank you goes to Vic and Brian, who have been here every day for the last two weeks selling tickets and merchandise, and also work tirelessly behind the scenes every week. To the committee who care for the ground and the pitch and run events , the Friday volunteers who turn up to do odd jobs, the bar staff, the kitchen girls, the security team, our social media team and photographers and also our community club coaches and volunteers, your efforts never go unnoticed. I also want to thank our previous management teams and coaches who played their part in bringing this club back from the dead.
In everything I do, whether through Johnstone Burgh or my company https://t.co/ttzRlbmcuz , I try to leave a positive mark on the world. I believe in building things that matter, that create opportunity and give back — whether that’s supporting NHS staff with technology or giving a football club and a community a second chance.
Now it’s time to make history.

Credit where it's due. The atmosphere tonight at Anfield has been superb. One of those proper European nights under the lights.
Bit weird that they sang everything in French tho.
Chelsea owners/SDs have deserved criticism since they’ve been here, without a doubt. But the whole dissing them with false ‘facts’ like a ‘42 man squad’ and similar crap just vetoes any point trying to be made. Shall we start including U6s in Chelsea’s first team squad too? 🤦🏻
🚨 JERSEY GIVEAWAY 🚨

Follow and repost for a chance to win! Goodluck 😎
Look, if they want to make me happy get Mourinho in with Fabregas as his assistant, win the UEFA cup, sack him next October after a draw at newly promoted Burnley, and appoint Cesc to lead us to the title. It’s really not that difficult.
The next Chelsea manager will be the club's 24th (including caretakers) from 2000 onwards — which is more than the number of Popes there have been since 1722.
