@australian Today was better where I am. Only in the lower 30's. I can handle that. Gets a bit uncomfortable above 40, though, without air cons, even near the sea because of water caused humidity. Living in inland Canberra, the same heat did not feel as unbearable because it is dry heat.
@kunalb11 If you go in with such a naive mentality that it will be easy, it might be best to forget start ups, despite what you hear. It's not easy and can be very stressful, demanding with little or no rewards initially and a high chance of failure and losing all you put into the venture
@theheraldsun The pressure on these sporting people must be horrendous. After a while, you'd question if it's worth it all, despite a the money they get paid to keep bring sporting champions. It must take its toll on health etc and it's a short career, too. What else is there once it's over?
@healthgovau On the land, when a the many mozzies came out, we used to light a smoky fire if it wasn't a total fire ban day, to deter them. They hate smoke. Or smoke a cigarette, dope, burn incense etc. I know flies hate vinegar. Mozzies might hate some substances and smells, too.
@healthgovau I found some special mosquito repelling bracelets I am going to try to see if they d o work. Otherwise it's the old Aussie country hat with fly net, cover up, light moqito cools or citronella candles, if lowed and slather mosquito repellent on top of SPF 50+ sun screen.
@6_marq And crypto can certainly guarantee it will do just that, no fake promises. Your life can radically change within hours. From poor to rich or rich to destitute. Ask SBF and his mates and they can vouch for this claim.
@engineers_feed Any name involving the word "erections". Try: Urban Erections. Country Erections. Future Erections, Global Erections, Great Erections. Get the gist? It's male dominated industry, after all..
@theheraldsun These types were around even back in the 60's and 70's students scene, at unis etc. The inner city in Melbourne is fu of these "champagne socialists" acti gike socially deprived underdogs they are not. And the genuine underdogs hate them. So they enjoy attacking them, for fun.
@Klawsy@MetropolisTour1 I live out woop woop, where nothing happens, other than natural disasters but I found it's just as much fun to watch such shows on a big screen if you can get to one and maybe gather a few friends, have a few drinks etc to get the "real life concert" feeling.Saves travel etc
@MetropolisTour1 These dudes look incredibly mainstream, almost too conventional for an alt rock band... Their image could be more lije some of the more mainstream rock groups of the 60's a d 70's era. I don't find them unbearable. But they just do nothing for me, emotionally. Too ordinary...
@newscientist Yes, how human language developed consonants is an interesting question and further research may show it came from early humans, possibly living in tree canopies, like these apes. It seems possible, given the need for more communication capability than vowels alone, to survive.
@BASF_Agro_Au I wo der if this product could also be used beneficially for other agricultural crops, too, where annual rye grass can be a problem, like it is with some types of lawns, too. Guess it depends on the other nutrients it contains and needs of different plants and compatibility...
@Cointelegraph SBF should not have been allowed to have internet access or go anywhere near any computer type device without close supervision, given what has happened...It would be too tempting to start crypto manoeuvring to move crypto around. I would have thought that's a no brainier, really
@newscientist Sad to hear of your loss. Yes, nature can be very comforting in times of grief, like it "understands" what you're feeling that can be hard to express to people.
@theheraldsun Like many locals from tourist resort areas, I make sure I'm NOT there when all this New Year's stuff starts up. We flee to the most boring part of the bush that is no social scene for tourists and then return to reclaim our home space once they all leave to Ho back to wherever.
