God does not bless any conflict. Anyone who is a disciple of Christ, the Prince of Peace, is never on the side of those who once wielded the sword and today drop bombs. Military action will not create space for freedom or times of #Peace, which comes only from the patient promotion of coexistence and dialogue among peoples.
Your brain runs on a work reward loop.
Set goals too big = no reward = motivation dropping.
Set goals you can hit = win = dopamine = momentum.
Most people skip this.
They aim too high, too early,
with no belief to back it.
Start smaller
Stack wins
Build from there
There’s a reason a walk in nature feels different.
Cities are visually structured
Straight lines, uniform buildings, constant stimulation.
Your brain stays in a focused, slightly stressed state.
Nature is less ordered.
Trees
light
movement
Nothing perfectly straight, nothing demanding.
Your attention relaxes instead of being forced.
Stress drops
Clarity returns
That’s why a walk in nature feels on another level
Spent some time in the Cotswolds viewing some properties this week.
Easily one of the nicest places in the UK.
I’ve always loved Italy and Spain for the pace of life
The calm, the simplicity, the way people live, good quality of life
But you can feel that same energy here
Made me realise you don’t need to leave the UK to find it
First drink of the year
Always do the first 3 months sober and couldn’t recommend it more
Resets your alcohol tolerance
Reinforces the fact you don’t need to rely on it to socialise
Sets you up for a focused start to the year
Now I’ll enjoy my red wine and tequila
Most people fill every quiet moment with noise
Music
Podcasts
Distractions
Try walking or sitting in silence instead
You’ll literally feel your cortisol returning to baseline
