Been dinking around with programming computers since the mid 1980's, father of 2, husband of 1.
Nothing I post is about the company I work for. Believe it.
Wow... Very well built security @guardianlife. I love how I can copy an URL from one computer to another and still get private data.
(that's sarcasm, in case you missed it)
First the #NYSE cube, now the @Nasdaq tower in #TimesSquare 🤟
Very proud and excited to see #Redpanda's Series C funding featured in such an iconic location 👏
Where next?
@Hyundai has a different definition of urgent from me. When they send out an urgent recall notice but only allow their own dealerships to do the work, and those dealerships can't get you in for 6 months.
If it's urgent, you should just get a check to pay any mechanic.

Someone mentioned to me that @redpandadata is currently running a challenge aiming to cut customers' Confluent bill by 50%: https://t.co/JAxhw6kqZO. I'm not directly involved in this battle, but if you believe you're overpaying for the Kafka service, it might be worth giving it a try!
📢 Just published a blog post discussing the ramifications of running a replicated system without fsync. Contrary to popular belief, the loss of data on a single node can actually result in the loss of replicated data on all nodes. 🔄

As I work to get off Twitter, I'm unfollowing everything I can get elsewhere.
It's weird. I feel the same emotions I have when I've moved and I'm packing up those last few rooms, wondering if I should find ways to pack those last things, or just throw them out.
@krishnan You lost me again. What's the motorcycle driver? The social media? The public statement?
Swerving your car at someone with the intent to injure is very different from choosing not to listen to someone who's reprehensible.
@krishnan Nobody can "cancel" someone. The state of being cannot be altered by others.
Social media has as much force as you let it have. If you make public statements that nobody wants to associate themselves with, that's on you.
