Dark clouds over The Flying Pig public house foretell the loss of community to greed. Justine and Matt Hatfield took over The Flying Pig in 1997 and during the twenty-four years of their tenure created and nurtured not just a homely local pub but also the foremost venue for live music in Cambridge. Despite a hard-fought campaign to save the pub, developers served notice a year after this photograph was taken and it has remained empty ever since.
