@Arc_LightStrike@ZioFacciatosta@abosalaharena Germany v Denmark had a lightning delay, but because it’s America it’s an issue
The frequency here is higher though so there could be more
Pocono raceway in 2012 had a fan die, so they implemented the 30 minute rule
@Ivor_story@gordonhill54 Atlanta was picked because the stadium is new and nice, soldier field is not
Airports are a wash, both are high volume hubs
I’d rather the final be in Atlanta than Meadowlands, I think it’s a better stadium, former was picked because ‘NYC’
@Derailment101@eltz1@DougieCritchley So only Europe gets the WORLD Cup because they have the leagues?
I can agree that Qatar shouldn’t have gotten it but what reason outside ‘MLS Sucks’ do you have for the US, Mexico, and Canada not getting it?
@jaymmzzs2@MbusoPMhlongo Saudi princes might not be able to afford it
I’d have loved to go to a game or two, but not at these prices. Affording it and wasting money are 2 separate things
@BucKylez@McWattAaron@tombogert He is from SA which is why it was mentioned
Was really good last year, this year has been mediocre but he is still young so he can bounce back
@Valderrama2026@AstroRebirth314@oy1dz_@JBT_86 Brazil hosted
They literally have a stadium in the Amazon Rain forest
That’s when the water break started because heat (Qatar) is one thing
Heat and humidity is a whole different animal
And that’s not even their summer
@Smacker62@jwriddle_@MrWayneGarton Blank treats his fans better is all I can say
And I’m in Philly so I’d hazard ours are similar to yours, 15+ for a beer
@Smacker62@jwriddle_@MrWayneGarton That is either normal or close to normal pricing for their concessions, which are noticeably lower than other venues.
@AraborgII@LucyTCWife@Angela1431320 Not sure about there, but in the US it would still can be murder if the victim was killed in OR due to malpractice. Reason is the victim wouldn’t be there if not for the other action
@Lana_Florea@TouchlineX See 2024 Germany v. Denmark in Euros for an example
US just gets about twice as many thunderstorms
Plus people die in storms see Pocono NASCAR race in 2012
My brother’s local field was renamed for someone dying there during a storm
@MD_DFW@DeegSports@Daklan17@CharlesPolanski@TouchlineX Sorry to tell you this but the northeast gets plenty of thunderstorms, not as bad as Miami but Philly gets 30ish days a year
The 30 minute rule was in large part because of a NASCAR race at Pocono raceway that had a fan die from lightning hitting the stands
@crimsonken@BortonDoug@BritniDWrites This list has been around for a while and it’s still idiotic today
Don’t use 1 or 2 seat states as an example. Dems use WV as an example for Rep and it’s literally cut in half
DE and VT can’t be…they have 1 seat
