The maximum amount a person can donate to a candidate is $3500.
Miriam Adelson just donated another $25 million.
Citizens United didn’t give corporations “free speech.”
It let billionaires buy elections and legally bribe politicians.
End Citizens United.
Jack Smith’s report on Donald Trump’s mishandling of classified documents and obstruction of justice is still hidden, thanks to Trump’s personal lawyers taking over the DOJ.
I’m filing a brief — joined by every member of @JudiciaryDems — to make it clear to the court that the corrupt process that hid the report must not prevail. Congress and the public are entitled to the truth.
Crybully Elon Musk is at it again, sniveling about the blood the whole world can see on his hands after he led an army of young incels to gleefully destroy USAID.
While the reasons behind Musk’s prioritized decision to kill USAID via DOGE were never fully explained, a prevailing theory was that he held a grudge against the agency for its role in ending apartheid in South Africa — perhaps also a factor in his decision to buy an election and attack America from the inside.
“We spent the weekend feeding USAID into the wood chipper. Could gone to some great parties. Did that instead,” Musk confessed in a Feb. 3, 2025 tweet, barely two weeks after Trump assumed office.
From the jump, experts loudly warned that millions would die if global humanitarian aid networks were dismantled on the say-so of 22-year-olds using error-prone ChatGPT. Those projections have since started to become a horrifying reality.
After Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) called for an investigation and accountability, Musk became hyper-defensive this morning.
“The standard applied by DOGE was very simple and easy: Provide contact information for the recipients of aid, so that we can confirm it is not fraudulent,” Musk lie-tweeted. While it was indeed likely “easy” to kill the lifesaving agency and repurpose its funding, there’s no indication DOGE truly vetted anything.
In Musk’s OWN WORDS, his college-age army of dweebs “fed” USAID into “the woodchipper,” hardly indication anyone meticulously reviewed aid details. DOGE staffers have proudly testified to the chaotic, simplistic, AI-led process that signed death warrants for innocent children around the world.
“The reality is that money was being sent to corrupt politicians under the guise of aid! Liars and stock insider traders like Ro the Robber should be in prison!!” Musk’s tweet this morning falsely claimed.
Last July, fired USAID Inspector General Paul Martin told NPR: “As far as I know, never once has anybody in DOGE or in the new Administration referred to the [Inspector General] criminal allegations of fraud, waste, or abuse. Frankly, the handful of examples I am aware of were just completely made up.”
If Musk’s claim this morning had any truth to it, the prosecution-obsessed Trump administration would undoubtedly have pursued charges against any USAID “fraud, waste, and abuse.” At the same time, Musk is getting richer by the minute off our tax dollars — yet he has the temerity to try and lie his way out of all the preventible suffering and death he has caused.
But Musk’s visible panic hints that he knows the Trump administration’s spree of looting and criminality is on the skids, bleeding supporters and shedding toadies at an alarming rate.
Musk knows when it is time for accountability, he at the top of the list — he admitted as much to Tucker Carlson just before the 2024 election.
In an Oct. 8, 2024 conversation with Carlson, Musk acknowledged that should Kamala Harris take office, he’d likely be tried and imprisoned.
“How long do you think my prison sentence is going to be? Will I see my children, I don’t know,” Musk joked, seemingly secure in the belief that would never happen.
“The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice,” Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. famously said. Criminals move faster than courts, but justice WILL prevail.
The ongoing crisis and deaths caused by Musk’s vendetta against humanitarian aid is tragic, and he knows the clock is ticking.
Scientists in Atlanta were stopped from criticizing the Trump admin at a scientific conference, so let me do it here:
Trump is destroying biomedical research in America, and it will take decades to get back on track.
Spread the word. Stand up for science.
The Reflecting Pool arrests by Park Police should terrify everyone. The federal government is fabricating accusations out of thin air simply to protect one man from his own embarrassing failure.
There is no sabotage. This is insane.
Found an imaginary problem, said only they could fix it, didn’t listen to experts, hired buddies who grifted millions, failed miserably, bragged how great it went.
The entire Trump presidency in a nutshell.
Angus: This is not simply about Trump being just a really dark, evil, corrupt narcissist. There's a method in his madness. It's about the politics of complicity.
I think what you see with Trump again and again and again is how he forces his supporters and his opponents to go along with his depravity.
He is using the politics of debauchery and degradation to force those who should be speaking up to remain silenced. He makes them complicit in the debauchery and the debasement of American public life.
This should be on the front page of every newspaper in America.
Trump’s DOJ just shut down a federal investigation into a coal company owned by Sen. Jim Justice, one of his closest allies, after it racked up tens of thousands of alleged violations for dumping dangerous chemicals into our waterways. A veteran federal prosecutor with 24 years on the job said he had never seen anything like it.
The man who killed the case was Todd Blanche, Trump’s former personal defense lawyer and current Acting Attorney General. This is the same guy who just gave Trump, his family, and his companies permanent immunity from IRS audits. Now Trump wants the Senate to make Blanche’s appointment permanent too.
Equal justice under law was never supposed to come with exceptions for the President’s friends.
The pattern isn’t subtle: protect Trump’s friends, prosecute his critics, and get rewarded with more power. That is corruption, plain and simple. Todd Blanche must not be confirmed.

We are suing to prevent Donald Trump from controlling mail-in voting by dictating to the Postal Service of whose ballot they will and won't deliver. All of this is laddering up to Trump trying to dictate who gets to vote and who doesn't.
The extent of Trump's destruction of Washington, D.C., is truly stunning. It's the ultimate metaphor.
The algae-infested Reflecting Pool. The destroyed grass from the UFC event. The bulldozed East Wing grounds. "86 47" etched into the lawn near the Reflecting Pool.

The 500 richest people on the globe added $336 billion to their fortunes on Monday, bringing their collective net worth to a record $13.3 trillion.
Read that back.
Our problem isn’t an issue of resources.
Our problem is ever-expanding wealth inequality.
🇺🇸🧐Pete Hegseth, Trump’s Secretary of Defense, commented on the shortage of Tomahawk missiles in the U.S., claiming that “weapon stockpiles were depleted back under Biden due to shipments to Ukraine.”
In reality, the U.S. has never supplied Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine — Hegseth is simply lying.
They started a war without having the cards, and now they’re blaming Ukraine.
Former Fox News host Pete Hegseth’s crusade to purge women and people of color from our Armed Forces has never been subtle.
But today, a New York Times exposé revealed exactly how far he’s gone to dismantle the careers and achievements of our finest servicemen and women.
More than a dozen military insiders — both active duty and those already purged — spoke to the Times anonymously to unmask a horrific ongoing attack.
They detailed a process used by Hegseth and his team to halt senior officer advancements for reasons completely unrelated to merit, job performance, or fighting wars.
Hegseth’s efforts are part of a quest to advance his white-and-male centered worldview, facts, history, and actual service be damned.
In the absence of any such evidence, insiders confirmed that he has used his position to withhold promotions from qualified, decorated veterans. The Times cited several enraging examples:
• Last fall, Hegseth ordered Army Secretary Daniel P. Driscoll to remove two Black and two female officers from a 29-person promotion list. Driscoll repeatedly refused, citing their decades of exemplary service. In March, Hegseth bypassed him, removed their names, and sent the modified list to the White House.
• In total, Hegseth has removed 32 officers from Air Force and Navy one- and two-star promotion lists. He also pulled the only Black officer and the only female officer from a Marine Corps list, leaving their promotions in limbo.
• Vice Adm. Sara Joyner, a highly decorated three-star fighter pilot, saw her advancement stalled over a 2021 Navy recruiting ad where she said, "I’m not just a girl with a dream. I’m a sailor with one." Hegseth deemed the line a "big problem." Joyner has since retired.
• Rear Adm. Stephen D. Barnett was recommended for a promotion after successfully managing the aftermath of a massive Navy fuel spill in Hawaii. Hegseth blocked his advancement after Barnett participated in a Navy-sponsored Pride event back in 2018.
It is an outrage to watch a media personality whose greatest battles have been with hangovers intentionally harm the careers of people who risked everything to keep America safe. Hegseth’s actions are insult to all who have served and a risk to national security.

After the Supreme Court first gutted the VRA in 2013, Black voter turnout decreased — especially in the South.
After the Supreme Court gutted it again this year, multiple Southern states have already begun trampling on Black voting power.
This is Chief Justice John Roberts’ legacy.
Hey MAGA,
You have to agree that this petty shit, trump covering up the name of the Kennedy Center with a tarp since he had to take his own name down, really makes him look like a little bitch.
A tiny, whiny, pathetic little bitch.
