This is a very common type of person, they read all the books, they study everything, they collect knowledge, they talk about ideas, they sound sharp, they sound informed, but when you look closely nothing actually changes in their real life.
The reason for this is they use information as a replacement for action, and it feels productive, it feels like progress, but it is not progress at all, it is avoidance in a different form.
The pattern is always the same, they convince themselves they are preparing when in reality they are postponing.
They keep adding more knowledge thinking at some point it will turn into results automatically, but it doesn’t, because knowledge without execution is just storage, and life does not respond to storage, it responds to action.
Life pro tip. Not enough people talk about this. The secret to having a "fulfilling" life is doing new things. Radically doing new things. Consistently. Every day. New activities, people, goals, even something as simple as trying new foods. Life feels longer when you're a kid because every day is packed with almost infinite amount of new learning. As you get older, you've already acclimated to your environment, the new inputs stop, so your perception of time speeds up drastically.
Reminder: One day, your whole life will be summed up in a few sentences. Not the titles you held. Not the money you made. But how you showed up. How you treated people. What you gave when no one was watching. The way you loved. The way you served. What will your sentences say?

When you try to lose weight, you avoid sugar, carbs, seed oils, do 24+ hour prolonged fasts, and go "Carnivore".
When you want your dog to lose weight, you put less food in his bowl and walk him more.
SIUE head coach Brian Barone put scissors in a case six years ago and refused to open the case until making the NCAA tournament.
Today he broke them out to cut down the nets 👏
