One reason for US banks to fear interest-bearing stablecoins is that US banks are increasingly losing out to non-banks on the asset side of their balance sheets.

If they have to start paying market interest on the liability side, that's a double squeeze to net interest margin.

Lots of schools have them, endowment funds can be directed at lots of things (e.g. scholarships, fellowships, facilities). Just need people to give enough money to set one up. Quasi-endowments can also be setup which are more flexible on spending the principal. See this example at Ga Tech: https://t.co/Z4LuoltG9n

@BlazeUp205 It’s not the worse outcome, but I think the American will largely hold together. If USF, Tulane, and Memphis leave I hope some southern teams are added as replacements hopefully at least 1 (if not 2) of Kennesaw State/Ga State/South Alabama.
