NHS staff have not hesitated to look after those we love throughout this pandemic.
Through their own fear, their own grief, their own exhaustion, they stepped up and they carried on.
They are the best of public service, the best of us. Thank you NHS.

On #InternationalNursesDay I want to recognise the extraordinary contribution of the nursing workforce. We are so grateful for your skill, expertise, leadership and dedication. You embody so much of what makes the NHS something to be proud of. Thank you all for everything you do.
It’s #NationalDoctorsDay and I’d like to express my personal and professional gratitude to the doctors I work with, and those who have cared and care for me, my family and friends. Thank you so much for all you do and for all you contribute to the NHS.

@DunnHaly Thank you for this, can I check that you have sent it to [email protected] and I will confirm receipt. You should not be blocked from sending me any email, unless the attachments are too large.

We are seeing a lot of patients who are very unwell and need admission. That has been the case for many days and so the hospital is under sustained pressure despite more than 100 escalation beds being open. This is a tough period (as it often is) 2/
It is extremely busy @MKHospital and despite our teams working incredibly hard, patients in our ED are experiencing longer waits than we or they would like. Please know we are doing all we can to see you as quickly as possible. 1/3

I am very sorry if you or a loved one experience these longer waits. If you have questions or concerns about your experience, please do contact me [email protected] and thank you for your patience as we work hard to see everyone who needs us as quickly as we can 2/2
We start the New Year with a tremendously busy hospital. My thanks go to all the staff @MKHospital for their unstinting hard work. Despite significant efforts, patients are waiting longer than we’d like in our ED because of the volume of very unwell people we are seeing. 1/2
