Earlier this week, I made a post that rightfully made some people upset.
After careful consideration, I decided to delete it.
I want to address it and explain. 🧵
Why do people who want to defend ICE killings of Americans keep lying like this?
"He pulled a gun on cops."
We've seen numerous videos of what happened. Does anyone think this happened?
Maybe this is contrarian, but in this case I'm team Kim.
My understanding is that Kim is actually a *very* hard worker between all her pursuits. She has multiple billion dollar fashion brands, dozens of endorsement deals, her reality tv shows, scripted acting, and her clemency activism.
You cannot do everything she does, with the level of success she's attained, without working hard.
What's happening is that she's running into something she's just not well suited for. She's very well-suited to the grind of doing hundreds of appearances, endorsements, photoshoots, etc, every year, which is real work. But she didn't go to law school or even college. She's never done anything like this, and it requires a totally different skill set, and because she's doing a dozen other major things she's time-limited. So she's currently failing.
And yet it's heroic of her to try. She's done real good with her activism for criminal justice reform. She's gotten people out of unjust life sentences. It's more than most of her critics have ever done for anyone. Good for her for doing it, and good for her for trying something hard. We should celebrate people who are willing to try genuinely hard things because they want to make the world a better place, and if you're mocking her there's a chance you're just a terrible person.
