I’m here at the Gulf petrol station in Lowdham where Reform MPs Robert Jenrick and Lee Anderson are announcing dropping fuel prices for this location for the day.
Reform are calling on the govt to halve VAT on fuel for three months in response to the war.

I was told before Nottinghamshire County Council’s meeting today media had to sit upstairs - we usually sit in the chamber.
No solid reason why. Reports of several empty seats in the chamber - random.
We’ve argued it. Told I’ll be allowed back in after lunch.

Well, approximately 99% of the complaints we receive are from people complaining that we've covered their court case, so let's put this in its proper context.
Hearing this is only temporary, and my colleague @laurenamonaghan is able to watch the meeting from a room nearby, but I also understand there are indeed enough seats in the chamber.
There's a specific bench for the press. It should remain that way.
Reform BAN the Press from the Council Chamber in Nottingham
Nottinghamshire Alliance raise the issue and are told we are ‘attacking’ the Chair
It’s always been the case that the press are in the chamber, this retrograde step is another attack on the press by Nottm Reform
The Green Party, under its new leader @ZackPolanski, has seen its membership numbers soar nationally.
But is the picture as positive in Nottingham and the wider East Midlands?

Story from @JoeLocker96 on an investigation into the Sheriff of Nottingham.
The investigation comes after questions were raised about the servicing of Zafran Khan's car.

It's understood the decision was made as the number of opposition groups has grown, with leadership believing it is essential that Executive Board doesn’t become unwieldy or duplicate other committees - to focus on its core function.
Opposition can still sit on other committees.
Nottingham's Labour Group had an informal agreement to allow opposition cllrs to sit on a key committee - but since the defection of several Labour cllrs, it has rescinded it.
@kirstyljones described it as an "attempt to prevent proper scrutiny".

Just read this piece in the print edition of @LeftLion. Remarkable stat in that only 8% of the countryside is free for access.
Important we're able to roam, particularly w/so many in dark sky poverty. Found a spot in the Peaks recently and saw the Milky Way for the first time!
In a twist on our regular love letter to local areas ‘These Streets Are Ours’, this month we turn to the forests and country estates of the north...

The Nottinghamshire Reform ban of Notts Live and LDRS reporters is currently being discussed at Full Council now.
It concerns a free press motion that was due to be discussed weeks ago, before the ban was lifted.

I'm at the first full meeting of Nottingham City Council ever since a number of Labour cllrs quit to create @NottmPA.
The newly formed group is now the opposition.

You may have heard Little John sound out across Nottingham at midday - having been quiet since September.
That's because the clock and its 1,000-plus parts have now been removed, painstakingly serviced, and put back together again.
Full story @nottslive soon.
Hidden behind budget lines detailing cuts across councils and the NHS are families at breaking point.
I visited one family stuck in an unending battle with a fragmented, funding-starved system, trying to get their disabled daughter the care she needs.

Beeston has been evolving into its own 'bohemian' scene, says one cllr.
But is the town too crowded with students? Some residents think so. Others champion the diversity and vibrancy👇
