@ChiAlderwoman Our ward is home to a diversity of people with a diversity of viewpoints and it's important to listen to all sides. You should have granted an audience to those in the Indian community who have concerns about the resolution, but you refused to meet. Not good.
I am proud to receive the endorsement of the Chicago Sun-Times in my campaign for re-election. The paper noted I have consistently delivered results for our diverse ward and have been an
outspoken progressive voice for policies supporting working people.

Glad to have the continued support of the Independent Voters of Illinois-Independent Precinct Organization, or IVI-IPO. IVI-IPO has a long history of backing independent progressive candidates, and I am grateful to have their support again!
@BAltman28 The plows try their best to clear a path down the middle of the street to ensure the safe passage of vehicles, but curb-to curb plowing is not possible in our densely populated neighborhood.
@BAltman28 Thank you for raising this concern. I actually share your frustration in the winter, but even during the day most side streets are filled with cars making it impossible to plow the streets curb to curb.
Like countless other entrepreneurs who have opened shop in our ward, Soul Hungry's owner, Lewis Edwards, has proven that you don't need to go South, North, or West to find fantastic food & entertainment, because it's here in Rogers Park - From last week's Follow me on Friday
@jfkaestnerjr @Mariafor49 @BillMorton49 Thanks for your question! The city can issue tickets to property owners that don't shovel and we issue warnings and tickets regularly. If you have a particular address in mind, please let my ward office know so my staff can resolve the problem. Email: [email protected]
Follow Me on Friday (tonight) from 5-7 PM for a COMPLIMENTARY sampling of catfish, wings, mac & cheese, greens and a FREE beer, wine or soft drink at one of Rogers Park's new restaurants, I'm Soul Hungry, located at 2043 W. Howard. Hope to see you all there!
I also added myself as a cosponsor to two other ethics ordinances
(1) Further expand the power of the Inspector General
(2) Require Alderman to recuse themselves from any discussion of an ordinance in which they have a financial stake #EthicsInChicago
Yesterday I filed several new ethics ordinances
(1) Ban Ald. from holding outside employment
(2) Allow the Investigator General to investigate City Council Committees
(3) Expand the subpoena power of the Inspector General
(4) Require the City Clerk to broadcast committee meetings
Some of my canvassers found this little guy shivering at Northshore and Ravenswood this afternoon. If you know the owner please contact me at 773-848-5796
@BEATDOWNINCORP7 Thank you for bringing this concern to my attention, however, this account isn't regularly monitored for service requests. If you send your concern to [email protected] I'll have my staff take a closer look at this.
