March 1, 2024 marks the 30th anniversary of the murder of Ari Halberstam z"l on the Brooklyn Bridge. The Bridge is a reminder that we must learn to travel together with respect for the other, not take a life because of hatred of the other.
Last yr, 255 pedestrians died of traffic violence in NYC. On World Day of Remembrance for Traffic Victims, we honor those lost & demand change.
Next session we must pass my bill, #SammysLaw, in memory of Sammy Cohen Eckstein, which would allow NYC to set lower speed limits.#WDoR
