Our new @TeamShrub paper (open access in @SpringerEnviro #Polar #Biology) shows S. arctica growth on Qikiqtaruk, YT, Canada doesn’t correspond w/ growing season length but is higher in years w/ warmer summers.

Growing seasons are longer for #Arctic shrubs under #climate change. But are they growing more in that extended period? @IslaHMS @jakobjassmann @SandyAngersB and I used #dendroecology + unique in situ #phenology data to look at #Salix arctica in the #Yukon for an answer.
