I think it’s probably retail traders playing the technical analysis game.
And possibly some guys who blindly bought after Smoak Capital went public with their large position and are being shaken out with low conviction / poor understanding of the fundamentals.
Earnings report due out next week. I think they will be on track for their 45% growth estimate for the Biz segment.
Could also be weakness in Japanese market.
Likely no one factor on its own but as far as I can see there absolutely no reason for the selloff from a fundamentals perspective
Wait what??!!
Colour is a delusion made up in our minds? And no two people see colour the exact same way.
Colour isn’t a real thing it’s just the way we distinguish between different wavelengths of light.
A construction ‘delusion’ that helps us distinguish between different physical objects in the ‘real world’.
Never thought of it like that before 🤯

Software: 2 competing thoughts I have
1: this is the laggards running (after semis, AI hardware etc) so we are late , breather coming
2: sentiment has shifted post $SNOW $DDOG earnings and realised many SaaS names are going to be AI beneficiaries. SaaS is next up?

Hier zijn eigenaardige zaken aan de gang. Het bod bedraagt 7,38 euro en iemand wil blijkbaar 150.000 stuks kopen aan 9,15 euro. 🤔

The main reason I think momentum has been extraordinary and will probably continue for a while,
Is the number of new investors entering the market. So much advertising and even push from governments to get people invested.
It’s never been easier to open an account and buy some stocks.
Any other thoughts?
"There's a particular torment to watching investors do exactly what they "shouldn't" - and keep getting rewarded for it. Momentum has been crushing mean reversion for a decade and a half. Melt-ups are visible in semiconductors, Mag7, gold, silver and commodities. Crowding is at extremes. Everyone feels it: the instinct that this can't possibly continue, the sense that buying what's already going up is both dumb and, somehow, the only thing that has worked. It has the unbearable lightness of a trend that refuses to mean revert" - Matt King
