@radiokerrynews A very misleading post, why didn't they put the man's nationality instead of saying a Kerry man was convicted of rape. If that was happened in that man's country it would have read Irish man convicted of rape
@marcom2006@MickFoley76 You should really read the report in The Examiner on the debate at the county board meeting last night . Maybe then you'll have an idea of what is expected from the county players
@keira_con To quote Roy Keane, fail to prepare prepare to fail. He's a high risk prisoner, it is the best way to bring him back to face the consequences. Leave no room for any possible errors. And no I don't watch too many movies.
@tonyleen@Kerry_Official Tony, you know well that county players don't play for their club very much. They're not permitted to play county league, even extended panel players are pulled from playing for their club
@JohnSmall6 So, you're of the belief that Dublin never got decisions/calls in their favour throughout their run of well deserved all Ireland wins? In sport if you don't have luck, you'll win nothing. There's always something to swing it in your favour
@MickeyTRCSC@Jonas17751074@BasedNebenzya @Mr_KnockinBooks @KerryBurgess Are you aware that there is a minimum wage in Europe?
If your employment law's were any good then people working in the hospitality industry wouldn't have to hawk for tips
Captions below came through on an email from @transformbball today about an u14 Basketball team in England who went undefeated.
Usually when I hear about dominant underage teams I wince and automatically think “big pick, big players, overly organised, bully their way through”. Not this one though.
This works. I’ve seen it work. In Ireland too, up close.
@BallincolligB employ a pretty similar approach. Big numbers of participation, Competitive at highest levels of underage, getting players on international teams and their premier team this season won the treble at the highest level of basketball. National Ciluo, top of league regular season and won the Play Off Championship. The approach embedded in CLA.
There is small bit of this dotted around Gaelic Games but it’s more 1 coach within a system railing against the tide of “structure” “drills” “early winning of Feile” “u13 zonal defending” , the individual technical approach of development squads and all this nonsense.
But whoever grabs this properly, backs the idea, the coaches and has patience will dominant at both ends of the spectrum - participation and trophies when they really matter.
CLA is a tool. It’s embedded in the best motor learning research we have for now (ecological dynamics) and there is an initial bit of learning in it. But as this coach in the captions suggests, it actually makes practice design and life a lot easier once you get comfortable.
@MillaCoach Not necessarily, lots of coaches use small sided games for ball retention, play safe and mind the ball. No encouragement given to players to take responsibility, which is why we have games with endless handpassing.
