State funeral ni waci... I personally think that wud be the last thing Fiji himself would even want considering he was more about people and family and music and peace
Lifted high upon the shoulders of his Bati Leka from Drekeivuci, the Turaga na Tui Nayau, Tui Lau, and Sau ni Vanua ko Lau, Ratu Tevita Uluilakeba Mara, was carried home to Vatuwaqalevu, while warrior cries broke through the stillness, chants rising like thunder across the Vanua, marking the sacred end of his cleansing and the triumphant return of Lauโs high chief.
โSau ni Vanua sa buli rawa
Lewei Lau era dua vata
Toso mai me da sarava
Drekeivuci e mai yadrava
Me da mai reki ka marau
Ni sa buli rawa na Tui Nayau
Nai wau, nai vua me kua ni biuta
Me yacova ni oti ko vuravuraโ
English Translation:
The Sau ni Vanua is crowned today,
All of Lau in one voice say:
โCome one, come all โ behold the son,
We, Drekeivuci, guard the one.โ
Rejoice! Rejoice! Let praises ring,
For the Tui Nayau is now our king.
Club in hand, our vow we keep,
Till death shall call us to our sleep.

The first to greet the newly installed Tui Nayau, Sau ni Vanua ko Lau, na Tui Lau, Ratu Tevita Uluilakeba Mara, were their Majesties, King Tupou VI and Queen Nanasipau'u and the Mฤori Queen, Te Arikinui Kuini, Ngฤ Wai Hono i te Pล. In solemn honour, they bowed to one another, a quiet gesture echoing generations of chiefly kinship across Lau, Tonga, and Aotearoa. ๐ซ๐ฏ๐น๐ด๐ณ๐ฟ

I can't keep up with the updates from Fiji but I'm so grateful for them ๐๐พ And thank you Adi @NailatikauLitia for watching out for Lord Tuita ๐๐พ๐
This isnโt just an installation โ chiefs are speaking, veisiko is happening, and protocols are alive. This is not just tradition observed but identity reclaimed โ itโs the Vanua breathing.
