Chelsea sold Maatsen for 40m to get clean profit for PSR, while they bought Kellyman, an unknown youngster for 20m to also give clean profit for PSR to Villa.

Now after 0 games played, he is sold for 5m to a sister club.

Normally in business, when you sell assets at boosted prices to get accounting and/or financial benefits it is considered fraud and has severe legal implications. Chelsea is now actively doing this as a strategy to defraud the financial rules of the Premier League and UEFA.

The current cost control rules in football were not designed to create sustainability (as substantial owner subsidised losses are still allowed) but to prevent 'another' Chelsea or Manchester City upsetting the status quo.

In the season before Abramovich, Chelsea had the joint 5th highest wage bill. The following season it was the highest with average wages going from £21k to £54k a week (and this was in 2003/04)

In the case of Manchester City they went from 5th to 2nd after the Mansour takeover, and were top by 2011/12. Wages going from average of £38k a week to £94k a week during this period.

I've never met a Chelsea or City fan who has tried to deny the impact of the new owners has given the clubs a competitive budget.

So can understand why those Newcastle and Villa fans feel their clubs are on the wrong side of history

Erling Haaland is not so keen on Konsa, who has been the Norwegian star’s Kryptonite at club level. In five League games against him for City, Haaland has scored just one goal across a total of 406 minutes. The last three of those duels between the two men have ended with Konsa on the winning team.

Across his 90 minutes against Mexico in the Estadio Azteca, Konsa won all of his ground duels and made the most defensive contributions (eight) of Thomas Tuchel’s team. On the ball, he registered 93 per cent passing accuracy and 100 per cent accuracy for long balls. The centre-back finished the game as an emergency right wing-back after Jarell Quansah had been sent off.
