Always thought $LLy orforglipron to have small piece in obesity long term given low efficacy - if it passes safety test.

But this really slow launch was not in mind .. always thought would be initial wave as people try it If they don’t read trial data well.
$NVO oral sema may have captured that initial wave.
Lilly management recently stated working on non small molecule oral options . I don’t believe Lilly will make a breakthrough in a timely manner on an internal pre clinical or phase 1 oral program. After all TZP was a modification of a precursor that $NVO ditched.. and my guess no breakthrough in novel obesity classes for many years - actually nothing needed

M Lange from $NVO confirmed that not all peptides are amenable to oral approach anyway.

That takes me to question if Lilly will watch novo takes oral segment long term. ?

I know many people here still believe $LLy cares about other commercial assets such as from $AVBX or $MDGL
But I imagine Lilly management now scrambling in how they can resolve this oral debacle?
Although I view oral peptides are hyped , but an oral option could serve a segment in maintenance

@bioinvestor24 @medulla78 @DrLoomba Yes GLP1 is more effectiveness in MASH than THR B. But in hindsight VK could have completed P3 and already launched the product. They may be in a better position financially to develop 2735. It would help VK valuation too if even Resmetirom is worth $8B

Unpopular Opinion: Tirzepatide is a better choice for most people than Retatrutide. TRIUMPH-1 trial results prove it:

Reta 4 mg: 19% weight loss at 80 weeks
Tirz 10 mg: 19.5% weight loss at 72 weeks

Reta is only superior at 9+ mg doses (25.9%) with far more side effects:

@breakoutchrts I reached the same range of 22-23% based on a different approach. No extrapolation of P3 trial. Purely based on self reported data on social media. 33wewk regression line sits at 22-23%
