We close the year another collaborative research publication, this one by the teams in Utrecht University (@Jofaria94), University of Galway (@CalcatSandra) and University of Turin (@BBussolati). Congratulations to all involved! https://t.co/JdV3rXtrmo
How do bioartificial kidneys perform in vitro? Our ESR @Jofaria94 (working at @UniUtrecht) looked at that in his latest paper, where he analysed the functionality of bioengineered kidney tubules. Well done, João! https://t.co/2qcMbuy9AU
Very proud to see our paper involving four of the RenalToolBox organisations (NHSBT and Liverpool/Galway/Heidelberg Universities) published. Congratulations to the four ESRs (Sandra, Erika, Eleonora and Francesco) who are sharing first authorship. https://t.co/7qPbC8QlzO
Excited to present our poster for #Biofab2022@ISBioFab on using co-axial printing to create convoluted hollow microfibers that better mimic the physiology of the proximal tubule for kidney disease modelling. Read more in our poster below! @ShrikeZhang@TVermonden@SilviaMMihaila
About our latest contribution in highlighting the potential of KOCs to support in vitro modeling of fenetic kidney disease ,w/ Marta G Valverde, @Jofaria94, Elena Sendino Garví, Manoe Janssen and @MasereeuwR
Happy to share our recent review on diabetic kidney disease at the European Journal of Pharmacology @ELSpharma. Here we describe the current state of in vitro models for modelling the disease and the protective effects of SGLT inhibitors. https://t.co/1Lyplhq22e
Consensus review on liver organoids nomenclature. Very useful to agree on nature of these cells so we can compare results/studies. So far adult liver organoids = cholangiocytes. Proliferating hepatocyte organoids can only derived from foetal tissue.
